Rap Duo Young Moors Release New LP 'R.E.M.'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The rap duo from Hampton, VA, known as Young Moors have released their debut LP record album, "R.E.M.," to rave fan and critical reviews. The record is comprised of 14 original tracks for a total playing time of approximately one hour, making it a fairly comprehensive introduction to this explosive new act. An album built on deep cuts, urban poetry and constructive social philosophies, "R.E.M." by Young Moors is one of the most powerful hip hop releases of 2013 so far.

"R.E.M.," which is a clinical acronym for the rapid eye movement which occurs during the deepest stage of sleep, was released on the Street Addiction Muzik Group music label. The Young Moors themselves are Bliss El and Oone Master El. Their music is characterized by intense beats, intellectual lines and rhymes, and a strong overtone of reggae and dancehall. Their themes often revolve around the concepts of truth, justice, and unity, combined with an uplifting principle of self-actualization.

"The duo brings forth positive vibratory frequencies to uplift the soul," says their artists' bio. "Young Moors passionately promote knowledge of self and of operating at a higher level of consciousness."

Having been making music since 2003, the Young Moors cite as main artistic influences politically charged and intelligent artists such as KRS-1, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Bob Marley, and Dead Prez. The name of their record, "R.E.M.," comes from their current musical goal.

"We challenge our fans and listeners to focus their third eye beyond the bounds of the matrix. We're in the deepest state of sleep - R.E.M. We need to wake up!"

In addition to their breakthrough debut LP, Young Moors have also released an official music video for one of the album's singles, "Revoutionary Warfare," available for viewing online (link below).

The full-length debut record album, "R.E.M." by Young Moors is available online worldwide.

The LP "R.E.M." is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
