The Life Is Good Festival Welcomes Jack Johnson, Daryl Hall & John Oates And Yo Gabba Gabba! To Raise More Than $1 Million For Kids In Need
Boston (Top40 Charts/ Life Is Good) Life is good, the lifestyle brand committed to spreading the power of optimism and helping kids in need, today announced Jack Johnson, Daryl Hall & John Oates and YO GABBA GABBA! will headline the 2013 Life is good Festival on Sept. 21-22 at Prowse Farm in Canton, Mass. More than 30,000 fundraisers are expected to come together over the weekend to raise more than $1 million for The Life is good Kids Foundation. Once again, Life is good has partnered with Superfly Presents, nationally-recognized producers of the iconic Bonnaroo and Outside Lands festivals, to assure a first-class festival experience for all ages.

"Each year for one very special weekend, we see music fans of all ages come together at the Life is good Festival for a positive purpose"

"Every music festival has its own feel," said Jack Johnson. "All my friends that have played at the Life is good Festival have told me that the energy that the crowd brings is like nowhere else. I can't wait to finally experience it myself."

The 2013 Life is good Festival lineup includes the following artists:
-- Jack Johnson -- Good Old War
-- Daryl Hall & John Oates -- Thao & The Get Down Stay Down
-- The Roots -- Delta Rae
-- Amos Lee -- Bahamas
-- Dawes -- Lake Street Dive
-- Trampled by Turtles -- Gentlemen Hall
-- Preservation Hall Jazz Band -- Jesse Dee

Families can enjoy the "Good Kids" zone - home to the top acts in kids' entertainment - with performances from YO GABBA GABBA!, Recess Monkey and Josh & the Jamtones. Singer Ryan Montbleau will curate live acoustic performances from various musical friends in the Life is good Coffee House, a relaxed, intimate atmosphere where Festival-goers can enjoy Life is good coffee throughout the weekend. Life is good will announce the full Coffee House lineup later this summer.

"Each year for one very special weekend, we see music fans of all ages come together at the Life is good Festival for a positive purpose," said Bert Jacobs, chief executive optimist for Life is good. "By raising more than one million dollars for the Life is good Kids Foundation, the Festival celebrates the impact we can have in the lives of kids who really need it."

The two-day celebration of music and optimism features three stages of nationally known musical talent, hands-on games and interactive arts activities. More importantly, the Festival will raise more than $1 million dollars for The Life is good Kids Foundation, which directly funds the Life is good Playmakers program. The Life is good Playmakers program provides training and support to childcare professionals who use these tools to ensure that children grow up feeling safe, loved and joyful.

The goal of the Festival is to create a community of fundraisers. Individuals who purchase tickets are directed to a personal fundraising page, where they can raise money to support The Life is good Kids Foundation. Festival-goers who raise $500 or more are called VGP's - Very Good People - and will be rewarded with backstage hospitality, preferred concert viewing, artist meet and greets and other perks.

Tickets are on sale now at Lifeisgood.com/Festival. Adult tickets are $65 for one day or $120 for a two-day pass. Kids' tickets are $20 for one day or $35 for a two-day pass. Free admission for kids under 2 years.
