New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Letta official website) Letta debuts "King of Wishful Thinking" remake. @lettamusic #kowt. International remix powerhouse Robin Skouteris, acclaimed DJ Paul Goodyear, and a cadre of party producers around the globe have lined up to debut a new voice coming out of Atlanta.
Her name is Letta. And her remake of the 1990 hit "King of Wishful Thinking" promises to be this summer's club favorite.
Skouteris, who has 21 million YouTube views of his remixes, discovered Letta through Atlanta-based producing partner Pat Scott, and chose her as his first US-produced artist. "She has this smooth, sultry voice which complements the dark energy of the tracks in a way that totally reinvents this song," he said. Skouteris also produced the debut video.
Other DJs and producers have taken the track in their own directions. Remixes from Paul Goodyear, BitRocka, John LePage and Martin Fry & Chizo will hit clubs in Australia, Canada, UK and US this summer. A European club tour by Letta is currently in planning.
"King of Wishful Thinking" was originally released by Go West for the 1990 hit movie "Pretty Woman" staring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts. The original reached the top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, Adult Contemporary, and the ARIA Australian charts.
Letta currently writes and records in Atlanta, GA. For photos and more information about Letta, visit www.myspace.com/letta_music or www.facebook.com/lettamusic. Follow Letta on Twitter @LettaMusic.
