Frank Turner Announces "Tape Deck Heart North America" Fall Tour
Santa Monica, CA (Top40 Charts/ Interscope Records) One of the U.K.'s favorite singer/songwriters Frank Turner will be returning to the States this fall for a massive headlining tour with his band The Sleeping Souls. The 42-date North American road trip launches October 4 at Cleveland's Beachland Ballroom and wraps November 30 at Boston's iconic House of Blues, giving Turner a chance to reach more fans in more cities following his dash through the U.S. this summer. The Smith Street Band and Koo Koo Kanga Roo support Turner on his "Tape Deck Heart North America" tour. Tickets go on pre-sale starting June 25 at https://smarturl.it/FTstore and to the public on June 28.

The pop-folkie with the soul of a punk rocker will be spotlighting his beloved 2013 album Tape Deck Heart (Xtra Mile Recordings/ Interscope Records), Turner's fifth album and major-label debut. The Rich Costey-produced LP captures the wit and wisdom Turner accumulated as he made the journey from fronting British punks Million Dead to performing at the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London. His brilliantly catchy songs tackle the raw emotions of a recent breakup through the lens of a wry, hilarious songwriter with a gift for marrying his love of artists as varied as Bad Religion and Weezer.

Rolling Stone raved the album boasts "highly quotable" and "deliriously catchy rants about life after punk." People called Tape Deck Heart "one of the year's best rock albums." Alternative Press' glowing review concludes the album is beyond genre: "One can simply sum his music up by saying its fantastic."
