Bill Callahan Confirms US Tour Supporting 'Dream River,' Out 9/17 On Drag City
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Bill Callahan will tour the US extensively in support of his new album, 'Dream River,' out September 17 on Drag City. Callahan will be backed by a 3-piece band that includes longtime collaborators Matt Kinsey, guitar, and Jaime Zuverza, bass, for the tour, which kicks off September 25 in Houston, TX, and hits NYC's Webster Hall on October 6. Mick Turner will support on select shows. See below for full dates, and check out his NPR Tiny Desk Concert here: https://youtu.be/MHVNUrcyJy8

Callahan's live shows have consistently earned critical praise. His recent Lincoln Center performance prompted the Village Voice to observe "his voice was somehow more present and alive than on record." Consequence of Sound wrote, "If you're wondering whether or not Bill Callahan is a badass, then quit while you're ahead. He's quite possibly the definition."

'Dream River' follows 2011's 'Apocalypse,' which prompted the New York Times to call Callahan "one of our best lyricists."
