BURBANK, CA. (Warner Bros. Records) - Sacramento's favorite sons, the mighty DEFTONES, return to action this Fall armed with a battery of new songs to be performed for the first time anywhere. The band has elected to debut some new material for their hard-core fans before they are recorded rather than make them wait.
"We wanted to play some of the songs we wrote in Malibu on this tour before we start recording the record in November. It's gonna be cool... try some new songs, smile, feel good.
After all we are a touring band," said drummer, Abe Cunningham.
DEFTONES will enter the studio immediately following the club blitz in November with veteran producer Bob Ezrin (KISS, Jane's Addiction, Pink Floyd, etc.). Their eagerly anticipated fifth album is expected to hit the street in Spring 2005. A much larger, much louder world tour will coincide, details to be revealed at a later date.
Until then, prepare yourself for the onslaught. See you in September/October -- just in time for a well-needed schooling in the House of Rock!
