Madison Rising - America's Most Patriotic Rock Band Slams Rolling Stone Magazine For Cover Photo Glorifying Boston Bomber
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Reacting to Rolling Stone magazine's decision to glorify Boston Marathon Bomber on its cover, Patriotic rockers Madison Rising responded with a mock cover. Lead singer, Navy Veteran Dave Bray, the group speaks out: "My band Madison Rising ...

It's a dream and an honor of musicians and rock bands to be on the cover of Rolling Stone! But following the release of the music bible's latest issue, patriotic rock band Madison Rising's lead singer felt obligated to comment on the choice of who they choose to glorify on the cover and the implication and message this sends to young people.

"There is absolutely no justification for turning a terrorist into a rock star," said lead singer Dave Bray, a navy veteran and former 8404 FMF Corpsman for 2nd battalion 2nd Marines. "I applaud Walgreens, CVS and all the other retailers that are refusing to sell copies of that issue of the magazine. We have enough bad influences in this country. Instead of jumping on the bandwagon, the music industry should be doing everything it can to be one of the few good ones."

Madison Rising is certainly doing what it can to be one of those good influences, as the band works tirelessly to promote the principles of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility. Their mission is not only to make great music, but to also send a message that American culture is alive and well.

Among other things, Madison Rising released its widely acclaimed version of "The Star Spangled Banner" last summer, updated with a special addendum to reflect our nation's struggles at the dawn of the 21st century. In conjunction with that release, the band launched the Five Million Star Spangled Banner Challenge (https://www.starspangledbannerchallenge.com) as a way to offer Americans a fun and meaningful way to show their patriotism by watching the video and downloading the song directly to their iPods and other devices to play proudly in their cars, at the gym, at the beach or anywhere else they want.

Madison Rising is currently in the studio with Ron St.Germanine (Creed) recording its second album. They are on tour headlining concerts, special events, fundraisers as well as performing on summer shows with Kansas and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
