Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ UMe) The world's biggest brand in pop music, NOW That's What I Call Music!, has launched its first-ever U.S. streaming initiative with today's debut of a dynamic NOW Spotify playlist app. The new Spotify app allows music fans across the U.S. to stream and share NOW-curated and user-customized playlists featuring major hits spanning the past three decades.
NOW That's What I Call Music!'s new Spotify app encourages users to enjoy NOW-created playlists including the weekly Top 20, recent NOW series album track lists, and special Spotify-only thematic playlists such as Saturday Night Party and Lazy Sunday. NOW will post new playlists every week, and users can also create their own custom themed playlists, drawing from any tracks available on Spotify, including NOW's broad selection of top hits spanning pop, country, party, hip-hop, and more from the 1980s through today. The app's NOW Playlist wheel also allows users to mix and match their favorite eras and genres to generate custom playlists.
The app's social features allow sharing of all playlists on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. Fans can also login to the NOW app with Facebook for a deeper user experience that allows sharing of playlists for friends' birthdays and other special occasions. In addition, NOW's U.S. Facebook fans (www.facebook.com/Nowthatsmusic) can submit their own favorite playlists to NOW for possible inclusion in the app's official Fan Playlist of the Week.
Today's U.S. Spotify app debut follows last year's hugely successful launch of NOW's UK Spotify playlist app, which debuted at No. 1 on Spotify's app chart and has since remained among Spotify's top three apps.
