New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ ASR INTERNATIONAL) Shawn Rae, who possesses a sultry, silky baritone voice, with unique nuances that leave you craving for more, has been on the music scene for quite some time. He has been singing and performing before audiences since he was a youth. Rae's teenage band performed before large teen audiences as well as at state sponsored events. He has brought his many years of musical practice and performance with him in his collaboration with the renowned musical arranger Charles Calello (who has 38 Top Ten Hits and over 100 songs on the BillBoard Charts) to enchant a new audience with his smooth vocal style.
In today's climate of cynicism towards love and romance, Shawn Rae will be re-releasing a remake of
Sex Bomb to an entirely new audience.
Sex Bomb is a sexy tribute to a woman that a man is very enchanted with. It will have everyone searching for that certain someone that excites and encourages a deeply romantic encounter. It is a song that inspires a desire to hold that certain someone close while the hearts are warmed by the rousing beat of the music.
Charles Calello, who has the proud reputation of being one of the greatest American Arrangers, and who has worked with many great artists has this to say about Shawn Rae: "Charismatic, bright, innovative, courageous and certainly in a class by himself... having rich lustrous and euphonious qualities, incredible range and depth, giving the songs that Shawn chooses a sensual and romantic quality... Shawn's ability to paint a vocal picture that imparts a story in the listener's mind rather than just a song - distinctive, yet, reminiscent of other greats."
In recent years Shawn has released a Tribute Album which salutes some of the world's greatest Singers and Musicians, in a collection of beautifully arranged and orchestrated eclectic songs. The songs chosen for this album were
Celine Dion's "
The Power Of Love", Tom Jones's "
Delilah", Santana's three instrumentals, including "
Europa", Engelbert Humperdinck's "After The Loving" and "Les Bicyclettes De Belsize", Whitney Houston's and
George Benson's "The Greatest Love Of All", Al Jarreau's "
After All", and Bette Midler's "From A Distance".
Shawn Rae was raised until the age of 18 in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains, inheriting from both of his parents a remarkable lineage of Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jewish, Tibetan, and Chinese ancestry. Shawn came to the United States at the age of 17 to study as an exchange student. He continued his University education in the States and became a US citizen as well. According to Shawn, "A unified humanity can collectively resolve problems… Divided, we only serve to create them." Further, Shawn says, "The challenge is, individually and collectively, to awaken our true potential for goodness and greatness, and to realize that positive change begins with us."
Shawn is committed to share his resources and dedicate his time and effort in promoting and supporting causes that are in the service of alleviating homelessness, hunger, disease and despair.
