Out Now: Aruna - "Reason To Believe"
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ theoryX PR) Songwriter, DJ and vocalist supreme Aruna has released her solo single "Reason To Believe" today on Beatport through Enhanced Music. One of summer's most memorable vocal smashes, "Reason To Believe" was one of the stand-out tracks on the Digitally Enhanced Volume 6 compilation that was released earlier this month and has received support from Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk and more.

"I wanted to step outside of the box and create new lyrical patterns and melodies that I hadn't employed before," says Aruna. "That's why I co-wrote this track with someone new to EDM."

She partnered with fellow Los Angeles musician, David Bowick of the band Alder, and says that working with someone outside of the tight-knit dance music scene brought a fresh perspective to her songwriting. The lyrics speak of spiraling downwards after loss and heartbreak but Aruna's vocals convey innocence and hope. Producer and composer Steve Kaetzel brought a score of sparkling piano melodies, wobbling, glitchy bass and soothing trance chimes wrapped with intricate vocal editing to make the track fit for at-home, easy listening or havoc-wreaking on the dance floor.

One of EDM's leading ladies, Aruna has recorded for a host of internationally recognized producers, including Cosmic Gate, ATB, Myon & Shane54, Filo & Peri, Ronski Speed and Roger Shah. Her debut solo single, 'Let Go,' was released on renowned UK imprint Anjunabeats' Volume 8 compilation and cracked the iTunes Dance Top 200 singles chart at #150. But Aruna's true breakout moment came in May 2012 when her track 'Live Forever' with Dutch superstar Ferry Corsten shot to #2 on the UK Upfront Top 40 Club chart. Dubbed the "anthem of the summer" by fans around the world, 'Live Forever' became one of the Top 50 most played tracks of 2012 on Sirius XM BPM and stayed at #1 on the Beatport Trance chart for nearly eight weeks straight, while the official music video racked up more than half a million views on YouTube -- over 100,000 in the first two days alone. With no sign of slowing down, early 2013 saw the arrival of her debut collaboration with the #1 DJ in the world, Armin Van Buuren. 'Wont Let You Go' debuted on his artist album Intense and shot to #1 on iTunes in 20 countries the day of its release.

Recently the subject of a Ditlo feature, a photo essay website that documents a day in the life of people, places and things, Aruna was shadowed throughout the day leading up to her headlining set at Avalon nightclub in Los Angeles on July 3. Ditlo photographed her meditating, interviewing with press, sitting for hair and makeup, meet with fans and performing a DJ and live set. Check out that feature here.
