Drive-by Truckers, Steve Azar & North Mississippi AllStars To Headline Inaugural Mighty Mississippi Music Festival

New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Mighty Mississippi Music Festival) Steve Azar , Jason Fratesi and Billy Johnson have announced the schedule and lineup for the Mighty Mississippi Music Festival.

The festival begins Friday with campers arriving at Warfield Point to setup for the weekend. At 7:30 p.m. a Glow Run sponsored by Young Life of Greenville will begin. This run is a non-timed run that is a family friendly event.

The music kicks off at 10 am on Saturday & Sunday, and additional headliners include Deana Carter , Javier Colon , The Vettes, Edwin McCain , The Weeks and some of the most authentic Blues artist you'll ever hear! Star of TV and film, Gary Valentine (The King of Queens, Chelsea Lately , Here Comes the Boom), is slated to MC the event.

Azar stated, "We have mixed blues musicians with all different genres of artists. This is one of the only festivals where you can hear the blues on one stage and then hear an artist inspired by that music. We have some artists with some really big hits that were influenced by these musicians, and it is going to be a great festival."

The festival will also feature a Delta Village area that includes food vendors and an arts & crafts section.
