The Ceremonies Set To Release Debut EP October 8th; On Tour This Fall With The Fratellis
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cornerstone Agency) "Drawn in part from 80's new wave and post-punk, the group's sound is a genre-blurring blend of rock, as evidenced by their debut single, "Land of Gathering." The bold number is a conflagration of pounding drums and live-wire energy all but missing from radio today, armed with anthemic harmonies and a distinctly otherworldly sensibility." - V Magazine
Los Angeles based trio The Ceremonies are set to release their debut EP this fall via Atom Factory Music/Capitol Music Group. Matthew, Mark and Michael Cook, the three stylish and artistic brothers who make up The Ceremonies, self-produced the EP along with Danny Garibay. The self-titled EP will be released October 8th and showcases the cinematic, melodic pop lushness, '80s New Wave nostalgia and cutting-edge alternative rock aesthetics the band has become known for.

The Ceremonies released an introductory video for their first single "Land Of Gathering" earlier this year via VICE Noisey which has since seen over 781,000 total views. Watch the video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1L9Zhs5jmk. The track has received critical acclaim as well as strong radio airplay from SiriusXM's Alt Nation and has been on and off KROQ's "Locals Only" countdown, currently holding at #1 for two weeks running.

The Ceremonies will head out as direct support this fall with The Fratellis. The tour kicks off in New York on November 1st and will conclude November 12th in their hometown of Los Angeles. Full tour dates and ticket links are below.

The Ceremonies began when oldest brother Matthew discovered a dark, swirling cover of The Beatles' "All You Need Is Love" by Echo and the Bunnymen, which he found to be an intriguing contrast to the original. He eventually turned his brothers on to his favorite music and the three formed The Ceremonies while Michael and Mark were still in high school. The trio cites Echo and The Bunnymen, The Smiths and The Cure, along with romantic poets William Blake and Williams Wordsworth, and British futurist writer Aldous Huxley as major inspirations to this day.
