New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Critically acclaimed
Texas singer-songwriter television series Troubadour, TX takes to the stage (and many a music lover's TV screen) to begin its third season on
September 28 with new artists and special appearances. Kris Kristofferson serves as segment host and Stacy Dean Campbell as host of the award-winning, 22-episode series. Kristofferson offers personal stories throughout the series and his thoughts of what it is to be a singer-songwriter while Campbell gives viewers a unique perspective into the lives and behind the scenes of today's troubadours.
After three years in development, 18 months in production, 194,000 miles and 22,000 hours of footage, Troubadour, TX premiered across
America in 2011, introducing dozens of singer-songwriters as they chased their dreams across the Lone Star state. For its first season, the critically acclaimed series garnered an impressive 10 Telly Awards in categories including Musical Score, Editing, Sound Design and Creative
Excellence in Docu-Reality-Musical Entertainment. Like last season, the groundbreaking, documentary-meets-reality TV series is focusing on a concentrated lineup of talent, characterized as artists either Chasing The Dream or Living The Dream.
Chasing The Dream artists returning from season 2 are: Josh Grider, Kylie Rae Harris, Cody Johnson, female trio Michaelis and Zane Williams. Newcomer Curtis
Grimes will be added to the line-up as well. Special appearances from other Chasing The Dream artists include: Trent Willmon, Bri Bagwell, Bonnie Bishop, Brennen Lee and Noel McKay, Ray Johnson, Green River Ordinance,
Waylon Payne,
Thomas Michael Riley, The Rankin Twins, Josh Weathers, and others.
Crisscrossing the great state of
Texas with a couple of my fellow troubadours is heaven for a guy like me, said oft-featured award-winner Zane Williams. And of all the things I love about this state, its music fans are my favorite."
"Living the Dream artists Wade Bowen and
Roger Creager are also returning from Season 2. Plus appearances by Deryl Dodd,
George Ducas, Radney Foster, Jack Ingram, Randy Rogers, Allen Shamblin, Max Stalling, Larry Joe Taylor, Rick Trevino, Walt Wilkins and more are planned. Several of these "
Dream"ers, by the way, have either recently or are soon to be releasing new music and/or albums including
George Ducas, Rick Trevino, Radney Foster, and The Randy Rogers Band.
