Philadelphia Native Joseph Paul Performs The Lead Role In The Messenger At Gospel Rama #18
Philadelphia (Top40 Charts/ Mazur PR) Attendees at Gospel Rama #18 will get a special sneak preview of "The Messenger," a brand new rock opera based on the experiences of the Apostle Paul.

Philadelphia native and accomplished vocalist and instrumentalist Joseph Paul will take on the huge task of bringing the lead role to life in "The Messenger."

It could be called the greatest human drama of all time, and "The Messenger" brings the story to life through the explosive emotional power of music with raw human passion. "The Messenger" will appeal to a huge cross section of music fans and worshippers alike.

As a child performer, "The Messenger" lead Joseph Paul appeared on The Gene London Show on local CBS-affiliate WCAU-TV. After graduating from Lower Merion High in 1979, he began his studio career interning at Philadelphia's KAJEM Studios. Later, as a member of the studio's staff, Paul contributed on Grammy-nominated productions for artists such as Lou Rawls, Teddy Pendergrass, and Cinderella, among others.

As an entertainer, he's a "triple threat," bringing all of his considerable talents on vocals, keys, and percussion into the studio and onto the stage, where he's toured all across Europe, Asia, and North America. Paul is a founding member of The Front Porch Country Band and has also worked with producers Nile Rodgers (produced the B-52s), Andy Jons (Joni Mitchell), Neil Dorfsman (Dire Straits and Paul McCartney), and other top producers. On stage, Paul has opened for Neal McCoy, Pam Tillis, Doug Supernaw, and Richard Marx.

Gospel Rama #18 is a free and outdoor (rain or shine) event that runs from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. "The Messenger" (www.themessengertherockopera.com) is scheduled to perform at 12:45 p.m.
