TuneCore Announces Industry First
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 5W PR) TuneCore, the premiere digital music distributor, announced today a major enhancement to their Daily Trend Reporting tool with the addition of Amazon MP3 and Spotify data. TuneCore is the only music distributor to provide all their artists with daily sales data from iTunes, Amazon MP3 and Spotify that is accessed directly from the artist's TuneCore dashboard via a web-based interface. Artists, managers and labels now have even greater insights to better manage their businesses and sell more music online.

TuneCore's feature-rich Daily Trend Reporting tool , launched in April 2013, provides the foundation for this most recent enhancement. "We know, from listening to our artists, that daily trend data beyond iTunes will empower the artists to make better informed decisions about their business to grow their careers. Amazon MP3 along with iTunes represent the top stores for music downloads and Spotify is one of the leading and fastest growing streaming music services. Adding Amazon MP3 and Spotify daily data to our reporting platform is a major step in providing artists with a more holistic view of exactly what music is selling where," says Scott Ackerman, TuneCore COO.

TuneCore's web-based reporting tool, which is refreshed daily with new sales data, gives all TuneCore Artists access to quick data search and segmentation by album and individual song, views by country and time period ranging from 1 week to 3 months. Music download data for iTunes and Amazon MP3 can be viewed as consolidated or separate data.

For Jon King, Manager for TuneCore band Darling Parade, the Daily Trend Report tool has become essential for managing the band's business and making smarter decisions. King says, "Reporting with this level of detail is normally only available to artists on major labels or with major distribution, but TuneCore has really opened things up for everyone. I can now execute a targeted ad campaign or promotional effort and see detailed results across three major platforms the very next day. This eliminates a huge amount of guesswork, and allows us to put the pedal down on the things that are working and pull the plug when we miss the mark."

Darling Parade is just one of the thousands of TuneCore Artists who choose to partner with TuneCore, recognizing TuneCore provides the highest level of music distribution, publishing administration and artist support services.
