Teaneck, NJ (Top40 Charts/ Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes) Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes announce the release of the "Typical Week" Mixtape by Ramo. The 19 track project is currently available for download.
Ramo, real name Omar Keita, is a rapper born in Congo, Africa but raised in Teaneck, New Jersey. His family fled Africa to provide a better life for their son and escape a devastating Ebola virus epidemic. By the age of 10 years old Ramo found inspiration from famous Rap artists such as Biggie Smalls and Lil Cease; feeding a desire to pursue music. After meeting his idol Notorious B.I.G, who advised him to practice and master his craft, Ramo knew his purpose in life was to take his rapping to a higher level. Finding himself behind bars at the age of 14 due to an altercation, Ramo was forced to take 4 years off from his rap career only to regain focus at the age of 18.
Best known for his freestyle " Introduction", Ramo has attracted the attention and collaborated with the likes of DJ Envy, DJ Big Mike, DJ Woogie, DJ Noodles, DJ Spanky, DJ Mano Com, DJ Scope, DJ Khaled, DJ Green Lantern, DJ Bedtyme 357 and DJ Young Cee finding himself on many mixtapes. His features are not limited to mixtapes also receiving acknowledgement from HipHopDX, ThisIs50, and DatPiff as well as finding his feature on 'Coast2Coast Mixtapes Presents: No Sleep Til NYC being played by Ebro of director of NY's Hot 97.1 who gave the feature "two thumbs up", telling Romo he anticipates a strong buzz around this rising star in the not so distant future.
"Typical Week" is a great example of how Ramo's past experiences have molded him into the artist he is today. Ramo separates himself from his peers by focusing on more in-depth subject matters often lost in today's commercial rap records. "Typical Week" touches on real life struggles with entertaining skits, tight flows, and on point freestyles. The beats have a nice 90's style feel really playing on what many true hip hop heads look for in today's releases. If you have a strong appreciation for authentic subject matter and classic hip hop beats, this is the mixtape for you. Check out Ramo on his official website.
