Savio Rego Releases New EP 'Someone To Tell'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The singer and songwriter of contemporary R 'n' B and soul music known as Savio Rego has released his new EP record, "Someone to Tell." The album is comprised of six original titles for an approximate total listening time of 25 minutes. A cool, streamlined, extremely well-written record played deep in the groove with its heart on its sleeve, "Someone to Tell" asserts Savio Rego as one of the modern day's most sonorous performers and independent recording artists.

Rego cites as main artistic influences such popular songwriters as Sting, Sade, Joe Satriani, Phil Collins, India Arie, Eric Claption, and John Mayer. Of these, Sting and Phil Collins seem to have left their mark on his signature sound most audibly, though his Latin flavor is arguably the most important ingredient to his eclectic, modern mix of tones.

"[These are] songs about the journey of my life in relationships," he writes of his record. "It takes you through the cycle of a relationship from the initial spark of having a crush, to falling in love, to still being in love after you've moved on."

Rego's early chops were developed playing guitar at age 13 as a hobbyist. He considers himself lucky to have been introduced to a wide range of musical modes at that time.

He reflects, "I've always been a music lover and was fortunately exposed to numerous styles of music early on. Writing my own music only started about four years ago. I worked briefly in the aviation industry as a flight instructor with the goal of being a commercial pilot, but realized I was not passionate about it. Then I tried the banking industry primarily with the goal of achieving monetary success. A few years later, I realized I was living in a cycle of consumption and decided to do something I truly love, which brought me to writing and performing my music."

Savio Rego is now extremely skilled with several instruments. He describes his style as "chill-out soul," an amalgam of Latin, soul, R 'n' B, jazz, electronica and pop.

Rego was born in India and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. His debut record, "All I Want," was self-produced and released to widespread critical and fan acclaim in 2009. His music has been featured on SkyFm, "All About Jazz," "Smooth Jazz Radio," "Melodie & Rhythmus," the Indie Music Sampler, and more. His song "Miss You" has since made its way to international commercial radio on BBRadio in Germany.

"Someone to Tell" by Savio Rego is available online worldwide beginning 26 October 2013.

The EP "Someone to Tell" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
