New York, NY (Top40 Charts) International comedy music legend
Nikki Lynn Katt is taking on the challenge of accomplishing a feat of sonic and comedic wonderment that competes with the stunning musical and comedic quality of The
Lonely Island and Ylvis, but this album will be the first of its kind from a female point of view. The new album, entitled "Dance Your Hate Away", is currently being recorded with a fraction of the budgets of her competitors.
Katt's Kickstarter campaign for the new album was successfully funded within a couple of days. She now seeks to raise more funds to expand the project and has come up with some eyebrow raising, yet commendably enterprising, ways of doing so.
For starters, she has begun offering private burlesque dance performances in people's living rooms in the LA area for only $55 a pop. The shows are also available outside of the LA area, but they come with a higher price tag. Her hilarious and hot Kickstarter video contains a burlesque teaser. Let's just say that those who purchase this campaign reward can expect to get a little hot and bothered while simultaneously cracking up.
Nikki Lynn Katt has gained worldwide popularity for her brand of sexually risque, yet sweet and innocent delivery of comedy music and stand-up over the last few years. She has performed at the most prestigious comedy clubs, music venues and festivals in LA, Australia and the United Kingdom , including the Hollywood Improv, the Hollywood Comedy Store, The Sydney Comedy Store, Jongluers in the UK, the Melbourne Fringe Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Her music video, "This Halloween " aired on MTV's "Total Request Live", Fuse's "The Sauce" and received upwards of a million hits across various digital content platforms. Her song "Don't Forget About the Balls" made Australia's iTunes Top 100 Comedy Songs chart.
Katt's long-awaited sophomore comedy music album blends her previously stripped-down comedy songs with electronic dance inspired pop. The endeavor into this new genre for Katt is taking her sexual angst and tortured soul-filled comedy music from sounding like a camp fire song to sounding like a big huge party that is making her fans want to dance their hate away. "Dance Your Hate Away" started out as a concept, but is becoming a reality through crowd funding.
The new album can be pre-ordered by visiting Kickstarter.com and searching "Nikki Lynn Katt Dance Your Hate Away" before sales close on Sunday, November 3rd at midnight, Pacific Time: https://kck.st/1hoqnp8
