Saves The Day Announce Acoustic December Holiday Tour
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cornerstone Agency) Saves The Day are heading out this December for a holiday acoustic tour. The tour kicks off on December 13th in Chicago and concludes in Philadelphia on December 22nd. Joining Saves The Day on the acoustic tour will be special guests Walter Schreifels (Quicksand, Rival Schools, Gorilla Biscuits) and Jon Simmons of Balance And Composure. Full tour dates and ticket links are below.

"Every now and then we are given the chance to do something that would cause our younger selves to flip out. This is absolutely one of those times. Walter has been an important part of our musical education and continues to be so," said Rodrigo Palma of Saves The Day. "Jon has made some of the most righteous jams in recent years and we're lucky to have gotten to know him as a friend. Let's flip out together!"

"I'm very excited to hang with my good friends Saves The Day on our upcoming tour this December. Acoustically ripping through the Midwest and beyond to the fertile crescent of New England before returning to my beloved tri-state area, I expect to make a new friend or two along the way and perhaps find time to swap guitar playing secrets and war stories with the Saves The Day boys backstage," Walter Schreifels said. "Now I'm no Bob Dylan or Ian MacKaye or talented Mr. Ripley but for what I lack in expertise, I'm doubling down on heart and soul. It's gonna be a great tour, hope to see you there."

"Couldn't be more excited to play these shows with Saves The Day and Walter," said Jon Simmons of Balance And Composure. "Grew up listening to these guys and it's surreal to say I am hitting the road with them."

Saves The Day, the band's eighth studio album, was released this September and brought the band back to Equal Vision Records, reuniting them with the label that helped shape them into the seminal act they are today. The album sparked interest among music critics across the board, with premieres on SPIN and VICE Noisey. Saves The Day also marks the second highest Billboard charting album in the band's history.

Following a sold out show at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg, the band played a secret show at Saint Vitus, an intimate metal bar in Brooklyn that attracted such enormous buzz amongst fans and press alike that the ticket link crashed within 4 minutes of being up and without Saves The Day officially being announced as the "secret headliner." Check out Noisey's recap of the night and additional photos from PENTA.

During their headlining tour this fall, Saves The Day stopped across the country to do a few acoustic performances. The band played Audiotree in Chicago, MTV Buzzworthy and Billboard in New York City and Alternative Press in Cleveland (footage coming soon).

Saves The Day formed in 1997, releasing their debut album Can't Slow Down in 1998 and followed by Through Being Cool in 1999 both on Equal Vision Records. 2001's Stay What You Are spawned the memorable "At Your Funeral" as the band continued to evolve and grow. 2003's In Reverie peaked at #27 on the Billboard Top 200, becoming the third Saves The Day album to chart on the Billboard Top 200. In 2006, the band began its concept trilogy, which was completed in 2011 with Daybreak. Saves The Day is Chris Conley (vocals/lead guitar), Arun Bali (guitar), Rodrigo Palma (bass) and Dennis Wilson (drums).
