Now the world-renowned musical icon brings her talents to New York City to appear at Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom, located at 311 West 34th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, on Thursday, November 14 at 8:00 p.m. It is just one of three U.S. dates on her tour and the only one on the East Coast.
Moyet has achieved sales of more than 20 million, both as a solo artist and half of influential duo Yazoo (Yaz in the U.S.) with Vince Clarke. the minutes was written with and produced by Guy Sigsworth, known for his work with Frou Frou, Robyn, Björk, Goldie and Madonna. It finds Moyet's voice strong and seductive on a collection of exceptional songs. Experimental, captivating and entirely cohesive, this is beauty with an edge. It has subtle parallels to her synth-pop past, but is also bang up-to-date, taking in elements of high-end pop smashes, R&B, modern club sounds and electronic experimentation.
