Twylight Seven Steps Into The Spotlight With New Album And Featured Single
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ WiFi-PR Group) Fusion artist Twylight Seven is about to enjoy the spotlight he has been working toward with the release of his new album Manila Sunrise in November and his single "Diamond Mind" on WiFi PR's Indie Anthems Vol. 3 to be released next week at CMJ Music Marathon in New York.

His musical contributions include his debut EP Graf7iti Talk and his upcoming album Manila Sunrise. These albums and their inspirations have traveled the world with Twylight Seven, and their sound is a compelling representation of those influences. Manila Sunrise is a sure bet to land Twylight Seven more recognition as an established artist.

Twylight Seven really began developing his music and his own particular style after professional performances with an all-acoustic fusion band named Terrenaissance. He is too inspired by his work with other musicians such as in the reggae outfit Buzz Rock, in local legend rock outfit 12 the Band, Baba Onilu and acoustic collective Jewels of Nature.

He writes and composes all of his songs on his own, but he continues to excel through the contributions from other musicians and producers, who he says helped to bring out ideas for his original style of music. It is a blend of hip-hop, jazz, soul, folk, Capoeira, MPB, blues, calypso, spoken word and his own niche genre, Cool Hop.

Cool Hop is his own unique style of music that he says comes from lives and loves, games, rituals, knowledge, traditions and cultures he was surrounded by as a child and sense. With hip-hop sensibilities in some of the spoken word lyrics and a soft, melodic backing sound, cool hop stands to revolutionize fusion music as we know it.

Even the very musicians who work with Twylight Seven have a hard time describing his sound without listing a slew of genres, and comparing him to other artists is even more difficult. His sound is truly unique and crosses many bridges across the world of music. Some songs do point to inspirations of other artists, including Tracy Chapman, Gil Scott-Heron, Merchant, Seu Jorge or Diavam.

Twylight Seven wrote his songs all over the world, particularly during his travels, which has contributed to his authentic, worldly sound. He's traveled to and recorded in the Philippines, England, Kuwait, Trinidad and Tobago, Canada, Haiti and Brazil, to name a few. Most of the songs on his new album have been inspired by his travels and family history.

He even uses a unique array of instruments, including the berimbeau-medio, which he learned to play as a practitioner of Capoeira Angola, first in France and later in Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Philippines and Brazil, some of the countries he has traveled to.

Because of the vast number of influences throughout his life, his music is written in both English and Portuguese. His poetic command of both languages shines through his music, and each is sung beautifully to the pinnacle of its softness and beauty.Twylight Seven has also recorded with a number of different artists, producers and studios. He recorded and mixed his album with musician-producer Beebo, who has a hip-hop and reggae background which contributed to the organization of the record.

This collaboration took place at Lion's Den Studios in Trinidad and Tobago, the famous pyramid studio which draws its name from former owner and calypso legend Roaring Lion. The studio is a haven from emerging hip-hop and soca artists like himself, making it the perfect backdrop for this album's coming into fruition. Mastering the album took place at PKMastering in New York with the help of Phillip Klum whom Twylight Seven found while looking for the producer responsible on Bjork's Post, one of his favorite albums.

You can hear more of Twylight Seven's music on his Vimeo and YouTube pages. Purchasing his music is not yet possible, but the Graf7iti Talk EP was distributed to his fans for free on Facebook and Twitter via a download link.
