Nadia Dolce: A Sensual Dance Pop Artist To Remember With Her Latest EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ WiFi-PR Group) With her fiery, seductive presence and gratifying voice, Nadia Marie Ricci, better known as Nadia Dolce, is promoting her Remember EP, released this past June, as well as its first single, "Remember," and the French version, "Souviens-Toi." She's an Italian Canadian who grew up in Montreal, and as a result, she is fluent in English, Italian, French and even knows some Spanish. She draws from all of these multicultural references both lyrically and musically in her dance pop songs.

Her trained voice has propelled her through early years of success, and she draws much of her musical influences from the "big divas," such as Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and Leona Lewis. She also looks up to artists like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Inna and Shakira for their originality. Drawing in all of these influences, her training and her life experiences, Nadia is most often compared to Mia Martina, Kristina Maria, Inna, Rihanna and Katy Perry.

Her mother serves as a major inspiration for her both musically and lyrically. As a lyricist herself, Nadia's mother left lyrics around the house and taught Nadia about different ways to express herself—including through music and lyrics. Nadia too began jotting down her feelings when the mood or thought struck, and she carried that mode of self-expression into her music career.

Nadia also calls herself a "hopeless romantic," and thus she often writes about happiness, sadness, breakups and other personal experiences. She also draws inspiration from the lives of her family, friends and even strangers, though she takes care to never use names.

Her latest EP Remember has an international vibe overall and incorporates different languages, sounds and genre fusions with a focus on pop and dance music. The EP's first single, "Remember," has all the makings of a great dance song with an essence of the West Indies in the verses and a sultry pre-chorus to get dancers in the mood.

This EP is the first part of her upcoming full-length album, All Around the World. One of the songs Nadia and award-winning producer Pascal Mailloux wrote together, "El Gitano," interested world-renowned DJ MC Mario, who asked to remix the song along with 8Barz. The track enjoyed national and international success, playing in more than 26 countries around the world. She also had the chance to open for MC Mario in 2012 at the CKOI beach party.

"El Gitano" starts out with a deep, steady bass which sets up the rhythmic use of her voice as an instrument like a synthesizer or keyboard melody. After a few repetitions of "mi amor, mi amor," she launches into her verses, which blend perfectly with the fresh and bouncy backing music. It's another track with a Spanish tinge and some fun synthesizer effects to take it all up a notch.

Nadia got her start studying classical vocal training and music theory at the McGill Conservatory of Music in Montreal. She joined the all-female group Dolceamare, where she earned her nickname for having a sweet personality. She also won the 16th edition of CFMB's Superfantastico, which is the Italian version of American Idol.

This presented her with one of her proudest achievements: visiting Italy and performing on stage singing her own song, "Believe," at the 2012 Reggio Pop Festival.

You can download Nadia Dolce's music from iTunes, CD Baby, Rhapsody and eMusic, and you can also hear some of her tracks on her website and YouTube, such as "Remember," "Kill It on the Dance Floor" and "Souviens-Toi."
