River And The Snap Release New Single 'Ride It'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The digital composer from Melbourne, Australia known as River and the Snap has released his debut single, "Ride It." The track is the first official release from his upcoming, debut EP record. It has been released on the Fundalicious Records music label. An indie-minded tune composed with dance floors and house parties very much in mind, "Ride It" proves that River and the Snap is capable of just about anything in this, the newest chapter of his shining career in music making.

River and the Snap (often stylized River & the Snap) is the stage name of solo songwriter River Cordes-Holland. Cordes-Holland cites as main artistic influences such powerhouses of pop as Gorillaz, Blur, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Icona Pop, Whitest Boy Alive, Outkast, early Black Eyed Peas, Beck, and Empire of the Sun. His own material shows inspiration by these artists rather than elements taken from them. His sound on "Ride It" downplays the digital composition for a live feel that is easy to imagine being played by instrumentalists onstage.

Cordes-Holland describes his new single in simple and direct language, not unlike the lyrics he penned for the track, itself: "'Ride It' is an upbeat, cheeky indie dance track with a great party vibe perfect for the more eclectic DJs and dance floors."

Asked to relate any themes or messages the song may have in store for listeners, he writes, "The song says 'let's party, have fun and forget our troubles.'"

"Ride It" is being released with a concurrent music video by the talented Melbourne director, Hamish Bassett. It will be published on River and The Snap's popular YouTube channel and other digital platforms. A bass-driven remix of "Ride It" is also due for release in late January by DJ Frankie (former Bumblebeez member and artist behind Little Boy from the Woods).

"Ride It" by River and the Snap is available online worldwide beginning 6 December 2013.

The single "Ride It" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes for convenient purchase and download
