New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Epic Records) Tamar Braxton has garnered three Grammy Award nominations at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The ceremony airs live on CBS from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on January 26 at 8pm ET /PT.
It's a very special moment for the singer, songwriter, television producer, and actress as this is her first year as a Grammy nominee. Moreover, she's nominated for a trio of honors including "Best R&B Performance" and "Best R&B Song" for the hit single "Love and War" , while her Streamline/Epic Records debut full-length, Love and War , is vying for "Best Urban Contemporary Album" .
Regarding the nominations, she exclaims, "One of the greatest honors in my career is becoming a Grammy nominee. I can barely contain my excitement, and I want to thank each and every one of my Tamartian friends as this is all because of them!"
That big day is well deserved. In just the past six months,
Tamar has solidified herself as R&B's leading diva. Love and War became the #1 R&B album upon debut, eventually selling over 300,000 copies since its
September release. In support of the record, she performed to packed houses across the U.S. on a 30-city tour supporting
John Legend , engaged in a whirlwind European promo run, and even picked up two Soul
Train Awards , after performing at the event in Las
Vegas . In the midst of it all, she gave birth to her first son. Its undeniable to say, as she puts it, "SHE WON!"
Right now,
Tamar is also ringing in Christmas with her very first holiday album, Winter Loversland in stores now. Not only does she light up a few timeless classics, but she also unwraps new seasonal originals as well. It's a smooth, shimmering, and soulful way to celebrate everybody's favorite season.
She's also preparing for the return of her Fox talk show, The Real , which has been renewed for a second season in 2014. It's set to premiere on Fox Television Stations as well as on BET. In addition, she continues to see success with both of her hit series—
