GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session To Perform At Prestigious 2014 Grammy Week Events
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) Thirty two talented high school students - representing 30 cities and 12 states from across the country - who have been selected for positions in GRAMMY Camp - Jazz Session.

These young musicians will travel to Los Angeles for a weeklong musical adventure under the
direction of Justin DiCioccio of the Manhattan School of Music, Dr. Ron McCurdy of the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, and Associate Choral Director Susanna Wegner of Kansas City, Mo. They will be launched into the spotlight surrounding the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards® through performances at a number of public GRAMMY® Week events, including an appearance at the fifth annual GRAMMY In The Schools® Live! — A Celebration Of Music & Education, sponsored by Ford Motor Company Fund.

The week kicks off with a special evening that is open to the public — GRAMMY In The Schools Live! —that will showcase Jazz Session members, and feature special performances by Tig Notaro and Vampire Weekend on Jan. 22, at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Jazz Session members will offer another public performance at Spaghettini Fine Dining & Entertainment with Delfeayo Marsalis on Jan. 23. The legendary Capitol Studios & Mastering will again be provided by Universal Music Group for Jazz Session members to record an album on Jan. 24-25. This year's recording will join the lineup of previous albums available for purchase at online music outlets such as Amazon and iTunes. As a grand finale, Jazz Session members will attend the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Jan. 26 as guests of The Recording Academy® and perform at the GRAMMY Celebration® after-party. GRAMMY Camp — Jazz Session is supported in part by the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation and The National Endowment for the Arts. Artworks. Additional support is provided by Capitol Studios & Mastering (Universal Music Group), Centerstaging, Gibson/Baldwin, Guitar Center, Shure, and Zildjian Cymbals.
