SANTA CRUZ, CA. (Emerald City Entertainment Group/ www.emeraldcityeg.com) - Emerald City Entertainment Group (www.emeraldcityeg.com) today announced the release of The Fue's long-awaited debut EP titled "The First EP" (UPC 689076718929).
The Fue's post-grunge high-octane style connotes whiskey, cigarettes, and race cars. Unlike many of their modern contemporaries (Foo Fighters, Jet, Filter, The Hives, The White Stripes), the sonic characteristics of The Fue's music draw more on the great rock & roll bands of the sixties and seventies (Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, The Clash, AC/DC) than the modern, perfectly produced rock bands of today.
There is a raw, uncooked feel to The Fue's music that makes it all the more endearing and contemporary. Featuring five of The Fue's original compositions, this album is over 21 minutes in length. Initially, the album will be marketed to music supervisors in the film, television, and advertising industry for placement in their upcoming features. A single will be selected and marketed to the national college radio market starting in winter 2004. In spring 2005, The Fue will embark on a sponsored national tour.
The album was produced by Emerald City's President, Daniel Duerr, in the company's wholly owned recording studio in Santa Cruz, California. The album was mastered by Rich Williams for Paradise Recording (paradiserec.com). Photography was provided by Dina Scoppettone (dinascoppettone.com), and the packaging was designed by Donna McLeer for Tunnel Vizion Media NYC (tunnelvizion.com) in New York, New York.
"The Fue is the most promising hard rock band out of California in 2004," said Rocco Giordano, Director of Music Licensing for Emerald City Entertainment Group.
"The First EP" by The Fue can be purchased at Emerald City's online store (emeraldcityeg.com), from CD Baby (cdbaby.com), Amazon (amazon.com), and the Tower Records online store (towerrecords.com).
In addition, the album and its songs will be available from the major music download services (including Apple iTunes, AOL MusicNet, MSN Music, Napster, Real, and Sony Connect).
