The Ceremonies Hit The Road With Glasvegas In February 2014; Self-Titled Debut EP Out Now
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Cornerstone Agency) Fresh off a sold out tour with The Fratellis, and an appearance at The American Music Awards, The Ceremonies have announced a Winter 2014 tour with Scottish indie-rock band Glasvegas.  The 12-date stint includes two shows in New York (at Manhattan's Mercury Lounge and Brooklyn's newly opened Rough Trade venue) and one at The Echo in their Los Angeles hometown.

The band are touring in support of their debut Atom Factory Music/Capitol Records EP - a self-titled five-track set that merges edgy, New Wave-inspired alt-rock with melody-powered pop that's both lush and endlessly catchy.

Made up of three stylish and post-punk-obsessed brothers - Matthew, Mark, and Michael Cook - The Ceremonies released their debut single "Land of Gathering" earlier this year.  Gaining major radio airplay with SiriusXM's Alt Nation, "Land of Gathering" also emerged as a favorite on KROQ's "Locals Only" countdown, where the song spent several weeks in the number-one slot. Watch the video here.

Formed while the youngest two Cook brothers were still in high school, The Ceremonies name post-punk/New Wave/indie-pop pioneers like Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure and The Smiths among their key influences.  Also drawing inspiration from romantic poets like William Blake and Williams Wordsworth - as well as from British futurist writer Aldous Huxley - the band has been hailed by V Magazine as a "conflagration of pounding drums and live-wire energy all but missing from radio today, armed with anthemic harmonies and a distinctly otherworldly sensibility."

Check out a recent acoustic performance of "Land of Gathering" and "Ballroom Bones" at the All Saints performance space in Los Angeles here and here.
