KINGSTON, Jamaica (Pyramid Records) - Renowned reggae artist, lyricist and social commentator Anthony B has recorded a single called 'Ivan' after his beloved home of Jamaica felt the devastating effects from one of the mightiest hurricanes this season. In Anthony's words, 'Musically, I don't want to sound happy but I want to find a way to make people laugh again. I want to bring back the laughter."

Comically, the chorus reads 'Got people a look for dem roof and divan'Whey mi sey the brotha name'? IVAN; Grandma sey she can't find silk nor nylon; House a swim pon dry land.' Anthony aims to make people laugh, uplift their spirits, and ultimately pull the community together with a song filled with humor and wit. Ironically, Anthony writes, 'This Christian lady pray as the wind start; Look through her window; See everything blow down in her path; She say 'see it dey now, God a pour out him wrath; We a go know who have bad mind and dirty heart'; Same time her roof top lick of; She shout 'Jesus Christ pon the cross; He must be neva know me live here too; Or a true me and mi neighbour nah talk'?'

'Ivan' will debut on Jamaican radio on September 17, 2004 and the turbulent track will soon be released out of Miami the following week. Subsequently, it will be placed on a charity compilation disk. With the well-being of Jamaica always being a priority for this seminal reggae artist, the proceeds from 'Ivan' will go directly to the families whose homes and properties have been destroyed or damaged by the storm.

With 7 albums under his belt, Anthony B released his new album Untouchable September 14 on Togetherness Records/Pyramid Entertainment. And, as one of reggae's premier lyricists, recently voted the No 1 lyricist in Jamaica in an industry wide poll by The Star, Anthony B remains dedicated to weighing in on whatever's on his mind. Wyclef Jean joins Anthony B on a few tracks on this album, as well as renowned rap star Snoop Dogg.
The dancehall track and single on the album 'Lighter' featuring Wyclef and hip-hop heavyweight Bonecrusher has been airing on BET's 106 & Park and BET's 'The Next' and is rapidly gaining radio airplay throughout the U.S.
