Yonrico Scott Band Releases "Quest Of The Big Drum"!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Blue Canoe Records) The second release from The Yonrico Scott Band, "Quest Of The Big Drum", delivers the power and groove that one expects from an artist with Mr. Scott's pedigree. For this funky blues-rock effort he compiles an all-star band of players with credits a mile long. Says Mr. Scott of this powerful trio, "...these young guys bring a youthful energy but have old hearts and old spirits".

Yonrico Scott is an American Grammy Award-winning drummer and percussionist. He was a longtime member of The Derek Trucks Band and is currently the drummer for recent sensation Royal Southern Brotherhood featuring Devon Allman and Cyril Neville. In 2010, Scott accepted the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Blues Album for The Derek Trucks Band for their 2009 album, "Already Free". Mr. Scott has played with industry big-names such as Stevie Wonder, Warren Haynes, Whitney Houston, Peabo Bryson, John Denver, and The Allman Brothers to name a few. With the Derek Trucks Band, he served as percussionist and contributing songwriter for 17 years.

For more than a decade Joseph Patrick Moore has been touring, recording, and establishing himself as an artist with a unique voice and a diversity of talents. His skills as bassist, composer, arranger, producer, author, educator and founding partner of Blue Canoe Digital illustrate why he is a highly sought after musician. Aside from his 8 solo releases, Mr. Moore played Eric Clapton's Crossroads with Grammy jazz master Earl Klugh and has shared the stage with Stewart Copeland (The Police), Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule), John Popper, Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers, Victor Wooten), Jon Phishman and Mike Gordon (Phish) and countless others.

Nick Rosen is a multi-instrumentalist, composer and has been featured in many major publications including the L.A. Times front page, The Hollywood Reporter, Jazz Times, the L.A. Weekly, and Vanity Fair. Mr. Rosen was music director of the famed Bardot Sessions at Bardot in Hollywood and regularly works with artists such as Bruno Mars, Perry Farrell, Macy Gray, Michel Gondry, Jon Brion, Gavin Degraw, Esthero and many more. He is now the music director at the Sayers Club, in Hollywood, where he has already done nights with Prince, Will I Am, Estelle, Jamie Foxx, Jeremy Piven, and Common. Mr. Rosen's studio work in L.A. includes numerous scores by Oscar-winning composer Michael Giacchino such as the films Super 8, Star Trek, and Land of the Lost, LOST and Fringe. He also has two recent studio releases of his own.

The opening track, "Witching Hour", immediately sets the tone for "Quest Of The Big Drum". The exchange of bass and the forceful backbeat fuses serenely with the color of Mr. Rosen's piano and the daydream begins. As "Can We All" begins, the listener is thoroughly seduced by the captivating groove and imaginative interplay between these superstars. Yonrico Scott and crew bring it full circle on "Sound Of The Drum"...the Quest of the Big Drum has been realized.
