To mark the 20th anniversary of Cassandra Wilson's landmark recording 'Blue Light Til Dawn,' Cassandra and her band will perform selections from the album and more on a tour of
Europe and the US in April and May. 'Blue Light Til Dawn' helped change the way that people thought of jazz and it earned her widespread critical acclaim including the title of "America's best singer" in Time Magazine. Additional US dates will be announced shortly.
In a rave review of Cassandra's 'Blue Light To A New Dawn' show in NYC last month, the Wall Street Journal said, "Wilson and her group proved that 'Blue Light' remains a wellspring of music that appeals to body and soul."
Cassandra is also performing select live dates in March in a band known as 'Harriet Tubman and

Black Sun.' She has teamed up with Harriet Tubman, a progressive jazz/rock trio founded by longtime collaborator and guitarist
Brandon Ross, bassist Melvin Gibbs (deemed "the best bassist in the world" by Time Out NY) and J.T. Lewis on drums. Cassandra sings and plays guitar in the band.
