Canada's Blurred Vision Plays Live At Historic Hudson Theatre For Beatles 50th
Toronto, Ontario, Canada (Top40 Charts/ Marbella PR) Toronto/New York based Canadian band Blurred Vision will be among a distinct group of artists in New York this week to celebrate the arrival of The Beatles in America 50 years ago. The band will share the stage with American rockers The Spin Doctors at the historic Hudson Theatre on the same stage where Elvis Presley performed on the Steve Allen Show in 1956. Here are the details:

What: Blurred Vision Live - Across the Universe Beatles Concert
When: Friday, February 7, 2014 @ 7:30 pm
Where: The Hudson Theatre, 141 West 44th Street, Manhattan, New York
Tickets: NYCFab50

"We are not a tribute band," says Sepp Osley, Blurred Vision front man, "but The Beatles are a tremendous inspiration for all four of us in every way. We've written our original tribute song 'Dear John' and covered 'Back in the USSR' to make a musical & political stand against the anti-gay laws of the Putin administration."

"In both cases, it's our way of thanking them and showing our respect to the biggest music icons of our time," he says. "We're deeply honoured to be included in the celebration in New York and proud to represent Canadian artists."

The incredible breakout year for Blurred Vision is showing no signs of slowing down. The band kicked off their first live concert in their hometown of Toronto just a couple weeks ago, and made their live television debut on Canada AM last Thursday performing 'Dear John', dedicated to Beatles legend John Lennon.

Last week the band also released 'Warmaker' on iTunes, the first single from their forthcoming debut album 'Organized Insanity' set for release in May 2014. Blurred Vision's founding members brothers Sepp and Sohl Osley drew upon some of their own personal experiences to write the anti-war anthem, having left Iran in the late 80's with their family.

The media frenzy surrounding The Beatles 50th Anniversary Celebrations has been fierce, ranging from the reuniting of the Eurythmics and the remaining Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, to petitioning president Obama to officially honour the Beatles 50th.

As the only Canadian band involved in the event and one of only fifty artists from around the world that were invited to take part, Blurred Vision has received coverage in The Examiner, Time Out New York, The New Haven Register and other U.S. press.

About the band
Blurred Vision is a 4-piece progressive/psychedelic/alternative rock band based in Toronto and New York. Since forming in 2010, their artistic work has won awards and accolades around the world, displayed in museums in England and Germany, featured in the pages of Rolling Stone, Billboard, The Independent and others, and gained the backing and full support of Pink Floyd founder Roger Waters. Their first official video release was voted one of the top 100 most influential videos of all time.

The band has championed human rights since the start of their young career, working with Amnesty International on global campaigns and as official ambassadors of NYC based charity Whyhunger since 2012, joining Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne and Yoko Ono.
