Newmoney is a rapper from Essex County New Jersey. No stranger to trials and tribulations, Newmoney has been tested many times in life from evictions and violence to the death of his month from cancer one Christmas morning. These experiences have only made this Irvington to Westfield, New Jersey native stronger providing inspiration for Newmoney's emotionally charged music.



A small township of only 60 thousand people just outside Newark, Irvington New Jersey was hit hard by the crack epidemic sustaining a violent crime rate six times the state average. Even through these hard times the city produced some of the most prolific talent who would shape Hip Hop forever including Lords of the Underground, Yaki Kadafi of the Outlawz, and Queen Latifah. Heavily influenced by this rich Hip Hop culture and emcees like Jay-Z, Biggie, Big L, AZ, Redman, and DMX; Newmoney carries on the tradition of authentic Hip Hop from the region credited for birthing the movement.

Newmoney's talents have not gone unnoticed receiving features in major Hip Hop publications such as XXL and the Source being profiled as part of the next generation of Hip Hop tastemakers.
