Everyone Dies In Utah Premiere Cover Of Katy Perry's "Unconditionally"
LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Tragic Hero Records) Texas hardcore band Everyone Dies In Utah have a special Valentine's day treat for all the sappy romantics out there. They have recorded a cover of Katy Perry's recent hit "Unconditionally" and even filmed a special video for it. In addition to footage of the band in the studio, they used shots of their fans lip syncing the song to create a heartwarmingly witty montage. The video is currently streaming exclusively at HM Magazine.

"Getting the fans involved was really cool," says vocalist Danny Martinez. "We felt good being able to give something back after they've given us so much."

"Our fans and friends made this video and we're excited to share our love for them. Happy Valentine's Day!" adds synth player Trey Golden.

Golden also takes on the role of clean vocalist for this tune, adding another dynamic to their take on the pop hit. This isn't the first time Everyone Dies In Utah dabbled with a Katy Perry song, though. In 2011, they released their cover of "E.T" which has since garnered over 461,000 views.

To commemorate the release, Everyone Dies In Utah is giving the song a way for free for a limited time when you purchase something from Tragic Hero's Unconditionally Web Store.

About Everyone Dies In Utah:

Teetering between breakneck brutality and elegant, entrancing melody, the Temple, TX quintet Everyone Dies In Utah, formed in 2008, consisting of Danny Martinez (Vocals, Keys, Synth), Keaton Smith (guitar), Trey Golden (Keys, Synth), Brandon Stoltz (guitar), Nolan Bailey (Bass), and Ricky Williams (drums). The name of the band began as a joke, but stuck with them as time went on. It derives from the fact that the death rate in Utah was at one time higher than any other state.

So far, Everyone Dies In Utah has continually connected on a deep level with its passionate fan base. Since hitting the scene, they've attracted a rabid audience over the course of their self-released EP, I Hope You Realize This Means War in 2009 and the two full-length albums Seeing Clearly and +//- (Polarities). They've also toured tirelessly with bands such as Affiance, Sirens & Sailors, Bleach Blonde, The Overseer and more. The band knows that it is very important to be accessible to their fans and do not plan on getting off the road any time soon.

In order to bring their singular vision to life on the new full-length album Neutral Ground, Everyone Dies In Utah enlisted platinum producer Jim Wirt (Incubus, A Skylit Drive, Letter Kills) to steer the wheel. Wirt pushed the band to levels that they themselves didn't even know they were capable of. Together, the band and Wirt created an album with an impressive balance of dreadful somber lows and blazing, kick you in the face highs. Lyrically, the album stands as their best work yet, touching on many relatable issues.

"I wanted to hit stronger messages on this album instead of doing a whole concept behind it," says vocalist Danny Martinez. " I decided to write full songs that would hit certain people at home. Like one song is about being judged and coming together to be bigger than the people that try to push you around. There's a song that's about wanting to become better than you are and how you are going to have to go out and do something about it to make it happen. Then, there's a couple I wrote about heartbreak, as well."

Neutral Ground is available via Tragic Hero Records.
