Rotosound Signs BabyShambles, X-Factor Finalist Luke Friend And More
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Rotosound) Rotosound, the makers of distinctively British instrument strings, are pleased to welcome over fifteen new guitarists and bassist to their continually growing roster of top class artists.

Joining the Rotosound family is the BabyShambles charismatic front man, Peter Doherty who has started using the Roto Yellows, while fellow guitarist and band mate Mik Whitnall is using Roto Reds. They and BabyShambles bassist Drew McConnell, who uses the Swing Bass 66 strings, have just completed their latest, critically acclaimed album.

Continuing their trend for the signing a wide range of artists from all genres and backgrounds Rotosound are proud to announce talented singer and songwriter and X Factor finalist, Luke Friend is now using their strings. Commenting on them he said 'Rotosound strings have such a vibrant sound and don't go dull straight away when playing them. I love having a good bassy tone while playing acoustic, these do it for me."

A number of respected bassists have also switched to Rotosound including P.J. Phillips (Swing Bass, Trubass and Nexus strings), who plays with stars that include Vanessa Mae, Take That and Tom Jones. James Mallender (Tony Martin Band and Raven) has also taken to using Swing bass strings and joining this elite group is American bass player and composer Greg Decore, best known for his work with Britney Spears' band.

Vinnie Moore, one of the most important and influential guitarist to emerge from the late eighties who played with UFO has begun to use Roto 9's and 10's as well as the Jumbo King 10's to ensure he retains his characteristic sound. Swaggering blues rocker, John J Presley has been using the Rotos to great effect. Mick Tucker, who is one half of the amazing duo that delivers the melodies and harmonies that are Tank also uses Rotos because 'I only use the best, and Rotosound have delivered the goods for years'.

Other new artists include Max Raptors' guitarist Ben (Rotos) and bass player Matt Stevenson (Swing Bass 66) and guitarist Jason Barwick with up and coming band, The Brew who is using Roto Yellows. British rockers, Godsized, have been making their mark over the last few years with guitarist Chris Charles using Custom Strings in a variety of gauges to suit his sound. He finds 'Rotosound (strings) give me the power, tone and playability I need to rip through kick ass riffs and face melting solos every night'. Paul Nazarkardeh, who is proving a roaring success as the new guitarist with De Profundis, sums it up 'For the kind of music I play, I require strings that not only hold tone, but durability. After years of brand switching, I have been using Rotos for the De Profundis 'Uniting Darkness' tour and the writing process for our next album. No matter how much I punish them, Rotosound strings never lose their fantastic tone'.
