New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ PRS Guitars) When progressive metal band Between the Buried and (BTBAM) announced their North American tour and plans for a new studio DVD, lead guitarist Dustie Waring called on PRS Guitars to support the events with their latest gear including the new PRS Archon amp, Dustie's MD-made
Custom "Floyd" 24-fret guitar, and MD-made P22 guitar.
The tour and DVD follow Between The Buried And Me's ambitious concept album, The Parallax II:
Future Sequence, which was the North Carolina-based band's highest Billboard chart position (#22) since the band's inception in the early 2000's. The album landed the #3 spot on Billboard's Hard
Music Album chart, #8 on the trade magazine's Rock Album Chart, #5 on Billboard's Indie Label Album chart, and #10 on the Billboard Indie Retail Album chart.
BTBAM's virtuosic metal guitarist, Waring, who jumps seamlessly from intricate clean lines to death metal growls to thick progressive guitar riffs relies on the new PRS Archon 100-watt amplifier to navigate the demanding catalog of music performed at each venue. Waring offers, "The Archon is a really exciting amp. Whether I need a nice bell like clean, rock crunch, or a super saturated metal tone, it can do it all. Not to mention that it's as pretty as any PRS guitar!" When asked about his main guitar that features a Floyd Rose Tremolo, Waring responded, "My
Custom 24 is the first PERFECT instrument I've ever picked up. It's been a long journey to find a guitar that is the perfect weight, sounds amazing, plays perfectly and looks even better. I feel very fortunate to have this luxury."
Announced BTBAM tour dates include:

03/11 Oakland, CA Oakland Metro

The DVD project will begin filming directly following the tour. The concept behind this project is in contrast with the band's ambitious and impressive live stage productions - this will feature the band in a small studio, an intimate setting in which they will perform "The Parallax II:
Future Sequence." Joining the band for this performance will be a small group of auxiliary musicians, including percussionists, saxophone, flute, and string quartet. BTBAM will record at the Fidelitorium just outside Winston-Salem, NC after the conclusion of their upcoming North American tour.
Director Justin Reich will be behind the cameras for this project, and longtime BTBAM producer Jamie King will mix and master the audio. The release date is tentatively scheduled for the fall of 2014.
