Friend Slash Lover Releases New Single "MY W4LL37 15 MY W34P0N"
Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ LaFamos Press) Friend Slash Lover, an indie artist infused with electro-pop elements, releases new single "MY W4LL37 15 MY W34P0N," now available on iTunes, complete with satire and hypnotic beats.

Inspired by 80s New Wave and the current state of the economy, Friend Slash Lover once again encapsulates real issues with infectious grooves and sing-along choruses. Even the spelling of the song title makes a statement by evoking the numbers on a credit card: MY W4LL37 15 MY W34P0N.

The mechanical sound of the voice in the verse seems to represent the oppressors, while the human-sounding voice of the pre-chorus fights back with "you can't sell to me, I only buy what I need." MY W4LL37 15 MY W34P0N, produced by Justin Jagoda and written by both Jagoda and Josh Mintz, is techno-infused indie-pop that showcases their unique style. The enthralling beat and old-school synths consume you with fearless thought provoking content. The catchiness of the single is a product of daring electronic sounds and honest lyrics. Mintz calls the single "an ode to the music I love from the 80s, which is really just a way to mask the message of the song, which wouldn't be too fun to dance to otherwise."

Connecticut native Mintz's appreciation for artistic expression and passion for music was evident since the young age of eight. He spent his younger years playing the fife in a drum corps marching band, which won state and national championships, and spent his weekends on the road touring. Mintz went on to study at the Rhode Island School of Design where he cultivated his artistry and uncovered deeper inspiration for future projects. He then moved to Los Angeles where he landed his art work into local galleries, but his heart was still undeniably set on pursuing music. Mintz's natural tendency of seeking out inspiration and creativity within every outlet of his life prepared him for the all around artiste lifestyle he lives now.

With two releases so far and an ardent following, Friend Slash Lover have hit numerous popular nightclubs and music venues in Los Angeles. Devoted to creating an edgy sound, that's influenced by artistic expressions, Friend Slash Lover is continuously creating unique material.
