LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ ICMP) The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance is proud to announce that it be will hosting an exclusive drumming masterclass for students with the renowned Thomas Lang on the 25th of March.

The visit has been organised through mikedolbear.com, with which the school has a longstanding relationship, as part of Thomas's 2014 UK/Ireland Clininc tour. He will share his extensive professional experience alongside drumming and practice techniques and answer questions from the students, providing them with a unique opportunity to learn from a high profile and successful musician.

Thomas commented, "I am really excited to be back at the Institute in my old hometown and I am looking forward to catching up with my friends and fans in London. The best don't rest, so come and pick my brains at the Institute on the 25th March."

Thomas Lang is world renowned as not only a drummer, but also a multi-instrumentalist, composer and record producer. He was classically trained at the Vienna Conservatory of Music and his professional career (which began in 1985) has seen him make his way through the European pop, rock and jazz scenes. As a session musician he has played for artists such as John Wetton, Robert Fripp, Glenn Hughes, Peter Gabriel, Asia, Tina Turner, Robbie Williams, Kelly Clarkson, Sugababes, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Ronan Keating, Steve Hackett, 911, Boyzone, Falco, Nina Hagen, Steve Jones, Mick Jones, The Commodores, George Michael, Doogie White, B*Witched, Gianna Nannini, Lighthouse Family, Westlife, Kylie Minogue, The Blockheads, Paul Gilbert…..the list goes on.

He is the founding member of the Los Angeles-based progressive/avant garde metal trio, stOrk and a solo artist, having released his debut solo project, Mediator, in 1995, which topped the charts in Europe and garnered positive reviews. He has toured the world many times as a soloist and headlined every major international drum festival.
