New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ SuperStarTickets) It has been 20 years since two of rock's biggest performers have shared a stage, but this past Saturday,
Nine Inch Nails and
Soundgarden announced that they will be hitting the road once again for a North American tour. The tour will launch on July 19th in Las
Vegas and will carry on through to August 25th in Los Angeles. Joining them throughout the 23-date tour will be opening act, Death Grips.
These two bands last shared a stage in 1994 at Toronto's Molson Park after each released their own, respective albums, NIN's Downward
Spiral and Soundgarden's Superunknown. It only makes sense for the two to come together two decades later for the anniversary of these massive albums.
Once again, both bands will be promoting their latest albums throughout the summer tour. NIN will be featuring their 2013 album, Hesitation Marks, while
Soundgarden will tour in support of their 2012 album, King Animal.
Soundgarden drummer, Matt Cameron, will not be touring with the band, however, as he is taking time off to perform with his second band,
Pearl Jam. Replacing him on tour will be Matt Chamberlain, a former member of
Pearl Jam.
