The Pretty Reckless Going To Hell Album Debuts At No 5 On The Billboard Top 200 Album Chart
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Razor & Tie Media) Rock is back as The Pretty Reckless' Going To Hell album debuts at #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart with more than 35,000 sold. Led by singer Taylor Momsen, The Pretty Reckless' single "Heaven Knows" has been the #1 rock song in the country for three weeks and Momsen is the second female singer to top the Mainstream Rock Songs chart in the last 24 years (read more here at Billboard). The song is now crossing to Pop radio and was added this week to the Sirius XM 20 on 20 Channel.

Going To Hell far outperforms the band's 2011 debut album Light Me Up (via Interscope), which debuted at #65 on the Billboard Top 200 selling 8,686 in the first week.

Razor & Tie Co-Owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam comment, "We are beyond thrilled by The Pretty Reckless' chart success and huge start at radio. Taylor is a rock star and we need more of those. We will be supporting this record for the rest of the year and beyond - this is just the beginning."

Manager David Sonenberg of DAS Communications adds, "It's extremely gratifying to see The Pretty Reckless at #5 on the Album Charts and #1 on the Rock Charts. A lot of hard work from everyone involved and well deserved success for Taylor and the Band."

Going To Hell was released on March 18th and has garnered praise from press and fans alike. Rolling Stone raves, "This New York band's brash second album rages with the upbeat, beat-wise humor that hard rock has suppressed ever since grunge. 'Heaven Knows' and 'Why'd You Bring a Shotgun to the Party' are full-on glam stomps."

The rebellious video for the "Heaven Knows" has garnered over 3.6 million views since premiering on VEVO (2/13) - watch here:

Meanwhile, the music video for the album title track " Going To Hell," is now over 5 million views. The Pretty Reckless has supported Evanescence, Guns N' Roses and Marilyn Manson on tour in addition to headline runs in both the U.S. and abroad. The Pretty Reckless is currently supporting Fall Out Boy on tour in Europe and UK. The band will return to the U.S. next month for an appearance at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards (4/23), preparing them for a busy summer which has the band confirmed to perform at nearly all of the major U.S. rock festivals, including: Rock On the Range, Rocklahoma, Monster Energy's Fort Rock, Welcome to Rockville, Rock Fest Kansas City, among others.

The Pretty Reckless formed in 2009 and released their debut album Light Me Up in 2010 and a follow-up EP HIT Me Like A Man in 2012. After two years on the road supporting Light Me Up, the band has risen through rock 'n' roll's ranks to become a polarizing presence. Over the course of their debut and EP, the quartet has sold over 1 million combined albums and digital singles. The band is managed by David Sonenberg, William Derella, and Erica Ramon of DAS Communications.

Going To Hell press raves:
"Going to Hell is a hyper-charged, multifaceted expression of youthful angst; it's also composed of strong songwriting that reveals an abundance of musical influences that span the history of rock from the late '60s to the present. From song to song, whiffs of Led Zeppelin, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, T. Rex, Black Sabbath, Fleetwood Mac, Nirvana, Garbage, Blondie, and Alice in Chains filter through the brazen riffs and caustic vocals without being blatantly derivative." --Jon Wiederhorn, YAHOO!, March 4, 2014

"…rock's newest bad girl, Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless." --Stephanie Radvan, MAXIM, November 2013

"Going to Hell is anthemic, heavy rock swagger with Momsen as its unapologetically sexy, bad girl preacher at the pulpit-a visual lightning rod who has the pipes and attitude to back it all up (see opener 'Follow me Down' or the solid ballad 'House on a Hill') when it all comes down." --George Pachecho, OUTBURN (8-out-of-10 Album review, March-May)

"This is a shell-shocked, stripped-down form of modern rock 'n roll that sounds at times like HEART in their early years and even their most recent few albums. Taylor Momsen carries some Lita Ford edges to her vocals on a couple songs, but she assumes her own identity brewed of rock, blues and country and she is well on her way to becoming a force in hard rock.… [Going To Hell is] a fierce and entertaining record." ---Ray Van Horn, Jr., BLABBERMOUTH, (March 3, 2014)

"…musically, the album is top notch…and Momsen's range has evolved into one of the great voices in music… Going to Hell is easily one of the best albums of 2014." --Jason Tanamor, YAHOO.COM' VOICES, February 7, 2014

"Taylor Momsen is a strong vocalist. A badass rocker chick and a committed musician. In fact, she's more committed to her art form than a lot of artists." --Jon Steely, HUFFINGTONPOST.COM, February 6, 2014

"Going To Hell the sophomore effort from her band of rock n roll heathens, The Pretty Reckless, which sees them occupying a heavy yet melodic foray into unabashed 80s style sex, metal and grit. Raw riffs and rock hard spirit define the music on Going To Hell, while Momsen's vocals have improved both in power and charisma from the group's Light Me Up debut, signaling a jump straight into rock goddess territory…" --George Pachecho, OUTBURN (Feature story, March-May)
