The single is a departure from Vajra's dark, melodic progressive rock as reflected in their debut album 'Pleroma'. "'Sound of Silence' is the shortest song, we've ever written," states Vajra founder and vocalist Annamaria Pinna. "We wanted to create a more commercially sounded/pop oriented song that is shorter in length, more straight forward and easier to digest than our previous songs. Our goal was to create a piece sounding more like 'airy bubblegum' and a lot closer to the cutting edge pop music out there. We hope you agree."
