"I'm super excited to hit the road. I've had the new music in my head for a while now and I'm really looking forward to sharing it with bigger audiences," ANDY exclaims. "I feel like the new music is a little bit louder and a little bit softer, it's going to take the show to the next level. Plus I've been home way too long and I need to get back out on the road and hang with everybody."
ANDY's first single "
Back Home"-from hisas-yet-untitled, full-length second album out this fall on S-Curve Records-is available today (4/8) via iTunes: https://bit.ly/1qet0jA. The joyously anthemic track arrives just in time for summer, and illustrates ANDY's knack for writing infectious, relatable songs, as well as showcasing his soaring voice. "Andy Grammer gives enlightened meaning to arena-sized pop with his brand spanking new single 'Back Home.' Filtered through the indie-folk lens…he always stays true to who he is" raves Jason Scott of Popdust.com. (3/26/14) Haley Longman of OK! Magazine wrote, "…we promise he'll be a household name after radio gets a hold of this song" (4/1/14), while
Molly Semes of WhatsTrending.com said, "I already can't get it out of my head!..This single is one I feel like I will most definitely be blasting all
Spring and Summer. It also has me super pumped for Andy's next album." (3/26/14). "Joyous, uplifting…" wrote Markos Papadatos of DigitalJournal.com, adding: "Many of his fans will find the tune sentimental, catchy and nostalgic. It garners an A rating." (4/3/14).
On the radio front, "
Back Home" will officially impact radio on May 12 but is already receiving early support with major market airplay in Los Angeles, Orlando and St. Louis, with others coming on board daily.

"I want this song to take as many people as possible back to a place, person or thing that reminds them of home (great friends, family, Dunkin' Donuts, Pizza, Slurpees, beach trips, guy dance party, girl dance party, bathroom selfies - you name it)," ANDY shares. "Writing 'Back Home' made me think of what a crazy and unbelievable journey I've had the last 3 years. When I was on the road, Home was a state of mind. When strangers sang my songs back to me, THAT made me feel like I was at Home. But when I started writing my second album, I actually got to return back to my Home…my lady, my other lady (my dog), my family, and friends. I played pick-up basketball games with old friends and just hung out - all of it inspired this song."
ANDY has taken to his social media sites to share old photos that recall 'home' to him. All are welcome to join in the conversation and share what home means to them using #backhome.
ANDY began his remarkable career rise performing on the streets as a busker in
Santa Monica, CA and, in just a few short years, became the first male artist to hit the Top 10 on Billboard's Adult Pop chart with his first two singles since
John Mayer in 2002. Additionally, he has gone on to sell over two million tracks, over 100,000 albums, sold out venues nationwide, performed onstage with Taylor Swift, Train, and Colbie Caillat, appeared on an array of national TV shows, received major song placements in film and TV, received BMI's "Pop
Music Award," graced the cover of national touring trade magazine Pollstar and presented at their annual awards show, among many other accomplishments.
His platinum debut Top 5 hit single "
Keep Your Head Up" was released on his acclaimed 2011 self-titled debut album on S-Curve Records. The follow-up track, "Fine By Me," also sailed into the Top 10 on the Adult Pop chart and was certified gold, having sold well over half a million copies. "Miss Me,"ANDY's third single off his album, climbed to #15 at Hot AC.
Music videos for all three hit singles reached the Top 10 on VH1's "Top 20" weekly video countdown.
