Clean Bandit Ready To Open "New Eyes"; "New Eyes" Arrives In The US On June 17, 2014
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Big Beat/Atlantic Records has announced the release of hugely anticipated debut album from British electronic group Clean Bandit - "NEW EYES" arrives in America on June 17th.

"NEW EYES" is highlighted by the historic hit single, "Rather Be (Feat. Jess Glynne)," which debuted atop the UK Singles Chart upon its release earlier this year and remains 2014's fastest selling single thus far. The track went on to spend four consecutive weeks at #1 - the first single by a British artist to hold the position that long since Adele's 2011 blockbuster "Someone Like You" - with platinum certified sales now well in excess of 750,000.

Last week "Rather Be" entered the record books as the longest running #1 in the history of the UK's Official Streaming Chart, dominating the top spot for eight straight weeks and counting. The track's unprecedented success bests previous record holders, each boasting seven weeks at #1, including Avicii's "Wake Me Up," Bastille's "Pompeii," and Daft Punk's "Get Lucky (Feat. Pharrell Williams)." "Rather Be" has shattered a variety of long held records, including the most one-week plays ever at Spotify and the most one-week Shazams at Shazam.com. The single continues to rule both charts, standing tall as the world's #1 most Shazamed track as well as a Spotify chart-topper in more than 13 countries worldwide.

"Rather Be" has indeed proven a planetary phenomenon, topping Billboard's "Euro Digital Songs" ranking, as well as dance and pop/top 40 charts in Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Luxembourg, Sweden, and the Netherlands. As if all that weren't enough, the single's equally undeniable companion video is quickly approaching a remarkable 26 million individual views at Clean Bandit's official YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/cleanbandit.

Along with its astounding popular appeal, critical acclaim has also greeted "Rather Be," with The Guardian declaring it to be "a supremely addictive slice of club/chart white noise, with a spartan garage intro/verse and an exuberant chorus that is a total dance-pop delight," further praising the track's indelible strings, "courtesy not of a sampler or some hired hands but the band themselves.""Co-penned with Disclosure hitmaker Jimmy Napes, 'Rather Be' blends classical-inspired violin with uplifting house beats," noted Digital Spy. "The result is an infectious sound that feels fresh and exciting -- and it couldn't have arrived at a better time."

Clean Bandit will mark the US release of "NEW EYES" with a pair of triumphant live dates, scheduled for June 17th at West Hollywood's world famous Roxy Theatre and June 19th at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg. Tickets for both dates went on sale Friday, April 4th (check local listings for details). A full scale North American live itinerary will be announced soon -- for regularly updated news, please visit www.cleanbandit.co.uk.

And more, "Rather Be" journeys from your headphones to the festival grounds with a brand new collaborative effort festival anthem remix from the dance music producers Cash Cash who composed "Take Me Home" and Krewella's "Live For the Night," along with Valley; which premiered exclusively on Rolling Stone yesterday.

"An unassuming group of Cambridge students, Clean Bandit started out as a string quartet, but bassist/keyboardist/producer Jack Patterson kept adding beats to their classical pieces on the sly. Before long, the foursome... had been transformed, boasting tracks that possessed the most breathless, glimmering, 2-steppin' elan this side of Disclosure..." - Rolling Stone

Clean Bandit came together in 2008, comprising brothers Jack (bass, keyboards) and Luke Patterson (drums), alongside Grace Chatto (cello) and Neil Amin-Smith (violin). United by a shared passion for fusing diverse forms of music, the Cambridge-based band quickly earned attention for their immediately compelling conglomeration of visionary electronica, deep house, classical, garage, R&B, and more.

"NEW EYES" sees Clean Bandit pushing the creative envelope even further with their distinctively baroque sonic approach, accompanied by an assortment of new vocal talents, including Stylo G, Javeon, Rae Morris, Eliza Shaddad, Love Ssega (Crystal Fighters), and alternative hip-hop sensation Lizzo (see tracklisting below). The album features all of the band's extraordinary hit singles to date - including "A+E," "Mozart's House," and "Dust Clears" - as well as such future faves as "Heart On Fire (Feat. Elisabeth Troy)."
