20th Annual Kristen Ann Carr Fund Gala Honors Music Entrepreneur Michael Solomon At "A Night To Remember," April 20th
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) The Kristen Ann Carr Fund, marking its 20th anniversary, will host the annual fundraiser "A Night To Remember" at Tribeca Grill on Saturday, April 20th. This year's gala honors Michael Solomon for his contributions and dedication to The Fund's mission and to Kristen's memory.

Michael Solomon is an entrepreneur who, after working for three years in the major-label music industry, co-founded Brick Wall Management. With business partner Rishon Blumberg, he's managed and developed the careers of artists including: John Mayer, Vanessa Carlton, Citizen Cope, Martin Sexton, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, The Clarks, Charlie Mars, and William Fitzsimmons, along with a roster of directors and producers. In 2012, Solomon co-founded 10x Management, bringing his knowledge of talent management to the technology industry.

Solomon has close personal ties to The Kristen Ann Carr Fund, as it was founded in memory of Kristen, who was his fiancée. Brick Wall has served as pro-bono administrator for The Fund for the past 18 years, and The Fund was Solomon's inspiration for Musicians On Call, a nonprofit he co-founded in 1999 that brings live music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. MOC is currently operating in six cities with expansion plans for more.

Guests will wine and dine on pairings from several of New York's most prestigious restaurants including Nobu, Tribeca Grill, Corton and Acela Club, and have an opportunity to bid on high-profile auction items including:

• Travel to Ireland for all three Wrecking Ball Tour sold-out shows in County Limerick, County Cork and Belfast, with a two-night stay in each location
• Hunger Games premier tickets for both Los Angeles and New York, with passes to the exclusive after-party
• Miami Heat playoff package with airfare and hotel stay: two VIP Tickets, meet-and-greet with players, Championship Alley Tour and autographed shoes worn by Chris Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade
• European vacation to London and Paris
• Student internships at Rolling Stone and Musicians On Call
• Autographed Bruce Springsteen 1952 re-issue telecaster guitar and Fender Precision Bass "Signature" guitar, signed by Sting and others
• Signature artwork by Danny Clinch, Bob Gruen, Michael Zorn, Tom James, Eric Meola and Jim Marchese

The silent auction will be on-line at www.charitybuzz.com on April 15th and closing at the event on April 20th. There will be an additional on-line only auction beginning on May 7th.

Marking 20 years as a thriving nonprofit, The Fund was founded in 1993 by Bruce Springsteen's co-manager Barbara Carr and her husband, prominent rock journalist Dave Marsh, after sarcoma claimed the life of their daughter, 21-year-old Kristen Ann Carr. Honoring the life of this extraordinary young woman, The Fund has established a comprehensive sarcoma laboratory at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and continues to provide sarcoma fellowships in both surgery and oncology at MSKCC. In addition, it works to support sarcoma research as well as programs designed to help teenagers and young adults with cancer and other serious illnesses. Since its inception, The Fund has raised more than $10 million for these worthy causes.

"Twenty years ago, when Kristen's sarcoma was discovered, there were only two or three centers of sarcoma expertise in the entire U.S. Now, our fellowships and other programs make experts available across North America," says Marsh of The Fund's two decades of nonprofit work. "Michael Solomon's role has been central in this effort — he's involved in every decision and contributes some of our best ideas. Our progress is real and so is our determination to reach the point where sarcoma no longer steals anyone's life."

Previous attendees of "A Night to Remember" include Bruce Springsteen, Patti Scialfa, members of the E Street Band, Harvey Keitel, Elvis Costello, Diana Krall and the cast of the Sopranos.

Saturday, April 20th • 8 p.m. to midnight
