Ashley Monroe To Appear At Country Music Hall Fame And Museum Songwriter Session On June 9, 2018
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) On Saturday, June 9, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host Ashley Monroe for their Songwriter Session series. Monroe will perform songs from her critically-acclaimed new album Sparrow and will be interviewed by Tyler Mahan Coe of the hit podcast Cocaine & Rhinestones.

Offered every Saturday at 11:30 am in the museum's Ford Theater, the Songwriter Session features an established country music songwriter in a 45-minute performance for museum visitors. The program is interactive as visitors are encouraged to ask the songwriter questions about the industry. Songwriter Sessions are included with museum admission or free to museum members.
Following the program, The Country Music Hall of FameĀ® and Museum store will host a Sparrow CD and vinyl signing for fans. Sparrow is now available to purchase and stream via all major retailers.

Ashley will perform on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday, May 14. The Wall Street Journal raved, "Sparrow is Ashley Monroe's most ambitious, startling and first-to-last engrossing album yet" while Pitchfork said, "The Nashville singer-songwriter looks backwards to move forward on an album that filters contemporary desires and sorrows through the timeless vernacular of country."

About Tyler Mahan Coe:
Tyler Mahan Coe is the creator-writer-producer of the podcast, Cocaine & Rhinestones: The History of Country Music. Making its debut in October of 2017, the podcast aims to reexamine country music of the 20th century - the songs, the people, the culture - placing it all in new context for when and where we now stand. Immediately gripping and instantly credible, Cocaine & Rhinestones' first season made the leap from country fan favorite to mainstream phenomenon through profiles in Pitchfork and The New Yorker, becoming the #1 Music podcast on iTunes charts in both the US and the UK.

About The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum:
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum collects, preserves, and interprets country music and its history for the education and entertainment of diverse audiences. In exhibits, publications, and educational programs, the museum explores the cultural importance and enduring beauty of the art form. The museum is operated by the Country Music Foundation, a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) educational organization chartered by the state of Tennessee in 1964. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, and for the last three years in a row has welcomed over one million patrons each year, placing it among the ten most-visited history museums in the U.S. The Country Music Foundation operates Historic RCA Studio BTM, Hatch Show Print poster shop, CMF Records, the Frist Library and Archive, and CMF Press. Museum programs are supported by Metropolitan Nashville Arts Commission, Tennessee Arts Commission, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
