New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Somewhere right now, there is a person running a marathon against time itself. They might be trying to beat a personal best or even be trying to run harder through another physical test, BUT, they are in a personal marathon. In life, the marathons that might be right in front might be what's happening to cause stress, pain, or even cause the moments for unplanned emergencies. Whatever the situation might be, Diamond Lake has us all covered on what to do in the event of an emergency with their new single, "Emergency."

With ties in Brooklyn, New York, and Minneapolis, Diamond Lake consists of Vocalist, Guitarist, and Keyboardist Jarrod Riddle; Drummer and Programmer Ollie Bauer; and lastly, Keyboardist and Bassist Andy Gruhn. From the standpoint of looking outside--IN, everyone does multiple jobs that seem to work in total elasticity! At first listen, there's an element of old school rock and roll in the early 1980s feeling guitar: But, there is MORE. The comfortable sounding comparable artist would be Fallout Boy, Train, Panic! At the Disco, Paramore, Sixpence None the Richer, and Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty. There's some serious attitude along with serious skill floating between the three that sound more like thirty! In further research, amazingly was that the music blends from song to song...Great production, totally thought-provoking lyrics, with melody; and the greatest part is that Diamond Lake has done their homework on how to make it all work as a band!

"Emergency" is the song that introduces the rising of an alarm as the first 35 seconds is just ringing guitar! Heavy sounding, pounding bass and drums that count. "I've seen this before...We have everything...But we want more...So give me what I need...Give me the score..." Direct lyrics for "Emergency" and it's the truth. People are so stuck on wanting more than they can even digest and the crazy part is that even if more is given, what can truly be done to grant that space of closure, peace, or happiness? In the end: Nothing...Great stuff. Sometimes, less is more and the concept of letting the vocals be the focal point was really great, but collectively, everyone seems to give "Emergency" that needed texture. Emergencies are always around but more so right now, the emergency is that there aren't enough music artists taking chances on presenting music from the heart and Diamond Lake seems to get this very important detail! Altogether, a great introduction to what's to come!

Whether it is an emergency to check out of reality just to get some air, space, and time, it would be worth it to have Diamond Lake playing on the radio! Sometimes, we just need a break from life or the situations that are always happening, and finally, there's a group of great friends that are making some awesome music that we all can appreciate! If you don't know Diamond Lake, you should! Get a chance to follow their history and support their personal music story as it will be filled with determination and perfect completion of how rock and alternative music is supposed to be! Catch them live as well! Any crew that has multi-instrumentalists behind instruments is bound for greatness! I highly recommend "Emergency" and think you will see my reasons when you play their sound!
