September 7, Elijah Wolf will release a new album On The Mtn Laurel Rd via Old
Flame Records. The album, which was self produced and primarily recorded in his Brooklyn bedroom, consists of 9 tracks that each represent a specific place or moment in Wolf's life, with scenes rendered vividly through his richly detailed lyrical portraits and evocative vocal delivery.
Today, Elijah released the song "Tell 'Em," which was praised by The Wild
Honey Pie for its "...richly detailed lyrics and emotional vocal delivery."

"'Tell 'Em' was written about my time visiting my Grandfather towards the end of his life. I wrote this song after a specific conversation we had in which he seemed confused & lost, and I couldn't quite make sense of this. It was as if he was trying to tell everyone something but couldn't quite find the words. I went home that evening & wrote this on my acoustic guitar to try to make sense of it all. I wrote the song to feel triumphant & strong but was left with more confusion which explains the spacious lap steel outro."
Wolf recently released the video for the song "Wilson
State Park." AltCitizen said, "The video pairs dreamlike animations from fellow Brooklynite Rachel Kisty with Wolf's nostalgic folk rock and sets you out on an exceptionally blue and delicately hypnotic odyssey."
On The Mtn Laurel Rd is a deeply personal album inspired by the sale of Wolf's childhood home in the Catskills and the passing of his grandfather: his family's patriarch and his closest friend.
"Releasing this album now feels like a weight off my chest, like every bit of frustration and nostalgic loneliness all leaving my body at the same time," concludes Wolf. "Making this record was the greatest therapy session I've ever had."
Elijah Wolf will celebrate the release of the album on Thursday,
