Experimental Four Piece Lectures Destroy Rock Band Cliché With Hook Heavy 'Distraction Shades' EP
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Destroying the rock band cliché, experimental four piece Lectures return with hooky melodies and addictive riffs in their latest EP 'Distraction Shades' on October 20th. Filtering an array of experimental impulses through the medium of popular song, Lectures have taken that rock band format and married it with hazy electronics without being neutered in the process. What results is pop music that is uncompromising and cathartic, still hot from contact with that inspirational spark.

Taking influence from the likes of Radiohead, Flying Lotus and Wild Beasts, the Tunbridge Wells born and bred boys have created a unique sound with a strange sense of familiarity.

Following their brief debut 'Every Colour' in 2016, Lectures received support from the likes of BBC Radio 1 Huw Stephens, BBC 6 Music Tom Robinson and Sofar Sounds. This October 20th sees the release of their five-song EP, produced by the band themselves.

Band: Lectures
Release: Distraction Shades EP
Release Date: October 20th
