Good Day NY Confirmed For 3/30 For Nile Rodgers, Chic And Deney Terrio, As CBS-FM Welcomes Legends Of Disco "Live" At The Hammerstein Ballroom On March 31, 2012
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Legends Entertainment Group) THE NEW YORKER, NY POST, SPIN, TIME OUT NY, EDGE and Many More Preview a Studio 54-Style Dance Party at the Hammerstein Ballroom, Featuring: Chic with Nile Rodgers, Tavares, France Joli, the Trammps featuring Earl Young, Harold Melvin's Blue Notes and LIME

CBS-FM and Legends Entertainment Group build 'the ultimate time machine': a one night dancing experience recreating the disco phenomenon that swept a generation to their feet

FOX-TV's GOOD DAY NY will feature an interview with legendary Nile Rodgers and Dance Fever host Deney Terrio, and a performance by Chic with Nile Rodgers, this Friday, March 30th. Then, on Saturday, March 31st, take a giant step back in time to the glory days of Disco, when The Hustle was America's #1 dance and Studio 54 was the hottest party spot on the planet. For one night only, March 31st, 2012, the Hammerstein Ballroom will be transformed into the ultimate Disco club in New York City. Other coverage has included an 'On The Horizon' preview with sole illustration in THE NEW YORKER, a Spring Preview Critic's Pick in TIME OUT NY, interview features via SPIN .com, NY POST, EDGE Magazine, SomethingElseReviews, and more. See links below.

On March 31st, express your 'inner Tony Manero' as a colorful era is revisited by some of the legendary artists that made it so memorable (and helped to transform a dance fad into a pop culture phenomenon). Dance Fever's Deney Terrio and CBS-FM's Joe Causi will welcome:

In addition, Nile Rodgers has confirmed a pre-show book signing:

In the Red Carpet area of the Hammerstein Ballroom, I'm having a combination Book Signing and concert Before-Party. It will happen on Saturday, March 31st at 4:30 pm. The address is 311 West 34th Street and it's free. I'm doing this because it's an opportunity to meet people in a festive laid back situation. I don't often perform in the NYC area and since it's formally called a "book signing" it's open to the public. I'll do a chat, play a few songs, and then sign some books - or anything else for that matter. SEE YOU THERE!

LIME Added to the bill for 3/31: With a string of mega hit records such as Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight, Unexpected Lovers, Your Love and Angel Eyes LIME is arguably one of the most prolific groups in dance music history. Combine this with a high energy fun filled stage performance, the party starts when Joy Dorris and Rob Hubertz together as LIME take the stage!

March 31 - Nile Rodgers and Chic ("Le Freak") and the Trammps ("Disco Inferno") join other acts from the days of bellbottoms and mirror balls, including Tavares and Harold Melvin's Blue Notes, to re-create a seventies disco at the Hammerstein Ballroom. (ticketmaster.com.)

TIME OUT NY - '15 PARTIES TO HIT UP THIS SPRING' -- https://newyork.timeout.com/music-nightlife/nightlife/2704925/15-parties-to-hit-up-this-spring

Legends of Disco - The people behind this salute to the '70s (tossed in conjunction with WCBS) aim to transform the Hammerstein Ballroom into the "ultimate disco club in New York City." They might need to hire some cocaine-addled designers and drunken, over-the-hill starlets to add a bit of authenticity to that effort. But with a lineup that includes Chic (featuring Nile Rodgers), the Trammps, Tavares, France Joli, and Howard Melvin's Blue Notes, the music will certainly have the right feel. Added bonus: Dance Fever's Deney Terrio is one of the cohosts. Hammerstein Ballroom (at the Manhattan Center), 311 W 34th St between Eighth and Ninth Aves (212-279-7740, mcstudios.com). Mar 31 at 7pm; $87-$152.

Have dance fever? The Hammerstein Ballroom's expansive Grand Floor Level will be transformed into a colorful, illuminated Disco dance floor reminiscent of the nightlife that defined the Seventies. No seats - just plenty of space to "disco, bump & hustle," - a spectacular club setting reminiscent of 'Saturday Night Fever'.
