Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band To Release How I Go!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) Roadrunner Records/Loud & Proud is releasing The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band's new album, How I Go, on August 2nd, 2011. This is the band's first studio album since signing with Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records last year and follows the release of the GRAMMY nominated album Live! In Chicago.

Recorded in Sausalito, California's Studio D, and produced by both Kenny Wayne Shepherd and his longtime collaborator and producer Jerry Harrison (Trouble Is, Live On,10 Days Out, Blues From The Backroads, Live! In Chicago), How I Go signals the band's welcome return to the studio. With the help of co-writers Mark Selby and Tia Sellers ("Blue on Black"), as well as Zac Maloy and Danny Tate, the new album offers a bounty of new material as well as covers from Albert King, Bessie Smith and The Beatles.

Kenny and his band, which features Noah Hunt, Chris Layton, and Riley Osbourn along with special guest Tommy Shannon, have delivered a refreshing and inspiring take on guitar-driven rock n' roll. How I Go offers a blues infused collection of music and more. Shepherd said, "We poured our hearts and souls into the recording of How I Go. My goal was to give longtime fans exactly what they want to hear on one of my records, while providing new fans an opportunity to experience my brand of blues based rock. I'm certain music lovers will clearly hear our musical roots while experiencing the growth and emotion that this record represents." The band is currently planning a US tour to begin in July.

Since releasing his first record at the age of 17, Kenny has enjoyed two Platinum and one Gold album, six Top 10 singles, and his album Trouble Is holds the distinction of being the longest running album on the Billboard Blues Charts, hitting the two year mark. Kenny's five albums have spent a combined 93 weeks at No 1 on the Billboard Blues chart, tying with luminary B.B. King for most weeks ever atop the chart. 2010's Live! In Chicago was Kenny's 5th straight No 1 blues album, an achievement matched solely by fellow guitar man Eric Clapton.

Over the course of his career, Kenny has amassed five GRAMMY nominations, two Billboard Music Awards, two Orville H. Gibson Awards, the Blues Foundation's "Keeping the Blues Alive" award and a Blues Music Award. In 2008, Fender released the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature Series Stratocaster. 2007's CD/DVD 10 Days Out: Blues from the Backroads was nominated for two GRAMMY Awards, aired on PBS television nationwide and has been certified RIAA Gold as a Long Form Video.
