New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Led by Nia John, Wolf Storm were founded in 2019 in Caerphilly, South Wales and have established themselves as one of the country's top covers bands. Despite being a band which thrives in a live environment Nia has not stood still during lockdown and has now released a cover version of Bonnie Tyler's immortal Total Eclipse of the Heart, capturing the emotion of the original but adding some of their own magic too. Nia's recent release of music comes from her sixth album, recorded at Shabbey Road studios, Caerphilly, by Al Steele. As a figurehead for female-fronted rock bands in Wales, It has been fantastic for Nia to cover her female rock role models such as Bonnie Tyler, Pat Benatar, and also great bands such as Aerosmith, Thunder, as well as a few surprises such as Whitney Houston.

Although the band members are experienced in making original music the joy of performing covers from some of our rock heroes proves irresistible, covering classic and modern rock artists such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, Guns N Roses, Free, Fleetwood Mac, Pat Benatar, ACDC, Rolling Stones, Stereophonics, and Blink 182.

Nia John has been singing since the age of 7 years old. Her older brother was a drummer in a band and an early influence on her taste of music where they grew up listening to Iron Maiden, Kiss, Motley Crue, Poison, Def Leppard, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne etc. Nia has performed with the BBC Welsh Orchestra, recorded at Abbey Road and performed at the BBC Proms, London, when she was a member of Rock Choir. True to Wolf Storms's name, they also have a particularly unusual fan of their music - Zebb the wolf! Sponsored by the band, they raise money at their gigs for his upkeep.
